Crazyflie nano quadcopter
Overview
I am currently working on developing control software and hardware for the Crazyflie Nano Quadcopter. This quad was designed by Bitcraze. This mini quadcopter is an open source project focused on experimentation and software development. The firmware is written in C and the computer client is written in Python. Hardware
The only hardware needed is a computer, radio dongle, quadcopter, and PS3 controller.
Hover Control Project
Overview
The Crazyflie 6 DOF model has no way to sense the elevation of the copter. The goal of project is to develop a way of measuring elevation and using it to create a PID controlled hover mode.

Sensor Integration
The sensor is attached to the bottom of the copter and sends signals to the computer. Currently the sensor is sending a negative signal. This error will be changed soon.
Software:
Currently a new form of the copter firmware and a new version of the client software was written to facilitate the new signals.

Rotor Guard Project
Overview
The goal of this project is to develop a guard for the rotors during flight. These guards will keep the copter safe if it runs into walls or crashes.
Current Progress
My first design for the rotor guards were designed in Solidworks and 3D Printed for light weight manufacturing. Currently the copter with both the sensors and the guards will not fly. The total payload exceeds specification. Another redesign of the guards will make it ready to fly.
